Nike approached us (IDL) to develop a seeding kit to highlight a custom color way for the Nike Vapor x Kyrie V shoe. The kit was going to feature 2 different shoes (a basketball shoe and a tennis shoe) which shared the same custom color way. The kit was also being launched at the time of the 2019 Australian Open and was associated with Nike Sponsored Australian professional tennis player Nick Kyrgios, hence the Australian flags peppered throughout the box art.
We took any creative direction from the design of the footwear itself which included a very cool, occult-y “all-seeing eye” badge which is a detail borrowed from the Kyrie V and is featured prominently on the heels of the footwear. We developed custom hybrid basketball/tennis graphics for the rest of the kit which we designed to highlight the multi-levels of the triangle shape of the “all-seeing eye”.
